PRIDE MEDIA is building an audience growth team to drive best-in-class digital publishing practices within its editorial operation. The director reports to the head of Editorial. The vision is one of deep and meaningful collaboration between Editorial and Analytics teams — with the shared goal of producing content that resonates with our audience in the right format and at the right time — and, hence, delivering substantial audience growth. This role and function will serve all of Pride Media’s digital properties: out.com, advocate.com, pride.com, hivplusmag.com, outtraveler.com and chill.us.
We’re looking for an audience growth guru to build and manage this team, and to lead the process of establishing reporting and analyzing editorial across all platforms. In this role, you will work closely with the digital editorial team to support and fuel the growth of our audience through reporting, testing, making recommendations, and establishing best practices.

Build a foundation for Pride Media’s growth and analytics team.
Offer insights: Analyze our content and partner with our writers, editors, and creatives to make informed content decisions.
Report what matters: Monitor weekly performance to ensure we are successful.
Test everything: Conduct A/B and multivariate tests and analyze results to optimize content and establish best practices across all platforms.
Partner with development team on new web designs and product features with goal of audience growth and retention.
Establish SEO best practices and track progress across all digital properties.
Grow email subscriber lists and oversee email for all of Pride Media’s properties.
Inform strategy: Craft strategy to grow Pride Media’s properties across existing and emerging channels.
Content syndication: Oversee implementation and management of all content syndication partner relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, or other quantitative fields.
Minimum 4+ years experience in a similar role at an established digital media company.
Ability to maneuver Microsoft Excel in your sleep.
Deep experience with web and social analytics including Chartbeat, Google Analytics, comScore and Sprout Social.
Passion to stay current on latest technologies and trends in audience development, retention and analytics.
Ability to use data to support or refute a hypothesis.
Excellent communicator who can digest complicated data and form actionable steps and initiatives.
Must thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and possess a strong ability to adapt, multitask and manage multiple deadlines at once.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with our editors, writers, executive team and sales team.
