We are currently seeking a Senior Editor with experience editing digital education/educational technology products. This position offers a competitive salary and robust benefits package.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Razor-sharp editing—from high-level content review to meticulous copyedit—of all print and digital content
  • Ensuring that all content meets our high standards of editorial excellence, with focus on instructional quality, clarity, and engagement
  • In partnership with company leadership, ensuring all content aligns with pedagogical and curricular goals
  • Partnering with editorial team and company leadership to initiate, conceptualize, and develop print and digital learning solution and products
  • Working closely with our staff to help develop our digital products and presence
  • Working closely with editorial team to meet our rigorous production deadlines, anticipate and resolve problems, and ensure excellent results

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BA/MA in English, education, or related field
  • 3+ years as editor in digital education/educational technology
  • Deep understanding of appropriate voice, vocabulary, and text structures for students in grades 6–12
  • Understanding of ELA instructional practices, curriculum, and CCSS
  • Middle/high school classroom experience a plus
  • Market knowledge and understanding of product financials a plus
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in informal but deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with exceptional follow-through, initiative, and commitment to excellence

Candidates within commuting distance of our Delaware office—roughly equidistant between Philadelphia and Baltimore/DC—are strongly preferred. Remote arrangement considered for outstanding candidate. (Requires regular travel to our DE office, so preference given to candidates within 2-hour flight.)
