Job Description

Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a FP&A Finance Analyst. This position provides financial analysis support, preparing short & long-term forecasts, month end reporting and conducting comprehensive analysis on financial and operating results. 

 Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Key support person for finance, covering all area of Finance, with an emphasis on bookings, revenue, cost of goods sold, expenses, and business unit support.
  • Analyze, critique, and drive the pipeline review effort, leading to actionable and accurate forecasting of sales, revenue, and expenses.   
  • Lead support for the non-recurring and recurring revenue models.  Leading monthly reviews that cover revenue and expense forecasting/budget/long term strategic planning).
  • Develop useful, consistent, and recurring reports and metrics that provide management with the insight needed to make sound business decisions.
  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of performance and drivers of variances between financial periods, budgets, and prior year on a monthly basis.
  • Partner with business group leaders in the monthly analysis of operating results compared to expectations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, advanced functions, macros).
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a team first environment.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-starter that is intrigued by data and gets energized by working with teams to learn about operations and utilizing that knowledge to find stories within data.
  • Advanced model building skills with a focus on sustainability and flexibility to automate and repeat workflow.
  • Prior experience developing short and long term (forecasts/budget/STRAP) experience developing and analyzing forecasts.
  • Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot problems that may arise - Strong analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills.
  • Familiarity with database, automation, and visualization tools (Tableau, SQL, etc.), a plus.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning, Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics AX, or other corporate performance management software, a plus.

Minimum Experience/Education:

  • Min 3 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in finance or accounting required.
  • Experience with a service industry or SAAS company

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $54,000 to $86,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
