Job Description
AZZ Inc. is seeking a talented and driven Project Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Operational Excellence, the role provides project coordination, administrative, procurement, reporting, and communication support across Operational Excellence, Purchasing, Engineering, Technical Services, and R&D.
This role serves as a key point of coordination between manufacturing facilities, corporate teams, and external vendors. The successful candidate will help track projects, maintain accurate data, support purchasing activities, facilitate communication, and ensure timely follow-up on key action items and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate capital project tracking, reporting, documentation, and administrative activities.
- Support capital expenditure (CapEx) processes, including project setup, status tracking, and project closeout activities.
- Maintain project records, spreadsheets, databases, and business systems, including Oracle and other company tools.
- Assist with purchasing and procurement activities, including purchase orders, vendor communication, supplier information management, and related documentation.
- Gather, consolidate, and maintain information from plants, vendors, and corporate teams to support reporting and business needs.
- Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, scorecards, and other materials for leadership teams.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to collect information, track progress, and ensure timely completion of action items.
- Support internal communications through SharePoint, announcements, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Coordinate communication and information flow between Operations Excellence, Purchasing, Engineering, Technical Services, R&D, manufacturing facilities, and external partners.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through project coordination, data collection, process documentation, and administrative support.
- Maintain organized records and documentation while ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a coordinator, project support, operations support, purchasing support, administrative, or similar role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals across multiple departments and locations.
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems preferred.
- Experience with SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms preferred.
- Experience supporting capital projects, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, or operations teams preferred.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, presentations, or management summaries preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments preferred.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
