Shop Mechanic Foreman

Seeking a highly skilled, organized and motivated individual
to manage the mechanic’s shop for a rapidly growing heavy construction
company. The position offered is for a working manager who has no fear of
getting his hands dirty and getting in the mix with 4 other mechanics, a shop
welder and an apprentice. The position is a salaried 6 day per week job.
You must have a minimum of 10 years experience and be thoroughly experienced
with diesel engines and construction equipment hydraulics systems.
Yearly salary based on experience

Bonus of up to 20% of annual salary based on performance
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the repair and maintenance operation for all company vehicles, equipment and tools.
- Counsel employees; develop/implement/monitor adherence to policies and procedures; answer telephonic and written correspondence; interview mechanic candidates; prepare employee evaluations.
- Develop and implement and monitor a comprehensive maintenance and repairs program.
- Procure tools, parts and materials.
10 years related experience working with diesel engines and construction equipment
Strong planning, teambuilding and communications skills
Strong computer and Microsoft Excel skills
