Job Description

As a PMHNP, you will:

  • Work in a primary and specialty care clinic, serving as a Praestan ambassador in those environments On-site in Glencoe, MN or Telehealth from your own office.
  • Develop trusted relationships with Primary Care and Integrated Behavioral Health Providers while promoting a whole-person approach to patient care.
  • Provide a comprehensive, direct services to adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
  • Provide assessments including physical and psychiatric functioning and pharmacological interventions in the outpatient setting, diagnostic interviews and individual, family, and group therapy services to patients and their families.
  • Regularly engage and collaborate with physicians on case review and treatment plans.
  • Maintain the ability to provide 3 psychiatric comprehensive assessments and 5 follow-up encounters per day worked.
  • Maintain the ability to work one evening per week when needed or required.

Qualifications

  • A current MN license as an APRN with prescriptive authority and ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification with the State of Minnesota
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan) and board certified through the ANCC
  • Priority given to applicants who have a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
  • Previous experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred
  • Interest and ability to work within our clinical model and therapeutic approach, while also working independently within a partner primary or specialty clinic setting.
  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation
  • Strong skills in case management, time management and both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance
  • Oriented and educated in gender, culture and age-appropriate care
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
