PowerGen Renewable Energy is a micro-grid developer and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar projects in Africa. PowerGen is creating an African energy system that utilizes clean, renewable energy and smarter grids to deliver power to all.

Job Description
As a Junior Project Engineer you will be part of the Project Execution Team on an ad hoc basis. You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and completion of assigned projects. You will report to the Project Manager.
What You’ll Make Happen:
● Work in the Project Execution Team to coordinate and manage the planning, scheduling and execution of projects from inception to completion
● Travel to assigned sites as a project engineer for project execution
● Perform technical site surveys for our projects in the pre-development phase and prepare a detailed report for the project manager’s use
● Uphold and comply with HSE standards during project execution
● Track and report project status updates to Project Manager
● Perform routine and corrective maintenance on existing assets
● Deliver Assets on time and within budget and quality standards
● Organize, file, update and maintain all project documents
● Enter information into and manage the digital project database
● Analyse Project Execution data
● Engage contractors to ensure that quality standards and guidelines are met and ensure good quality asset delivery
● Conduct post project reviews to identify areas for future improvement

Qualifications
You Already Have:
● First degree in Physics, Applied Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering
● Minimum of 3 years experience in the Renewable Energy Industry - building Solar MiniGrids
● Project Management skills
● Ability to innovate and solve problems
● Highly organized and detail oriented
● Experience and proven ability to collaborate across teams
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Practiced flexibility to lend a hand wherever needed
● Enthusiasm in working in the field of renewable energy!
