Job Description
- Sales & Customer Service;
- Engage with customers, offering friendly, professional service and advice, assisting them in making educated purchasing decisions.
- Leverage comprehensive product knowledge to provide tailored recommendations, ensuring customers’ needs and requirements are met.
- Update and manage stock and products on the Bowls shop website.
- Handle customer complaints professionally, working to swiftly resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction
- Stock Management;
- Maintain the shop’s visual standards, ensuring all products are accurately displayed and the store is kept clean, tidy and inviting.
- Oversee inventory, regularly conducting stock checks, reporting discrepancies and ensuring optimum stock levels are maintained.
- Efficiently manage stock rotation, minimising waste and maximising sales.
- Order & Delivery Management;
- Order stock from suppliers, using knowledge of stock levels and customer demands to make informed decisions.
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery and manage any supplier-related issues that may arise.
- Receive deliveries from suppliers, verifying the accuracy of orders, managing discrepancies, and ensuring proper storage.
- Communications;
- Respond promptly to telephone and email enquiries, delivering excellent service and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
- Manage outbound communications for customer orders, ensuring they are posted our promptly and accurately.
- Liaise effectively with the team, suppliers, and store manager, ensuring smooth operations and resolving any issues promptly.
Skills and Experience required;
- Previous experience in a retail environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bowls and related products.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and manage tasks independently.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle physical requirements of the job, including lifting and moving stock.
Hours of work:
- This is flexible position, working 20 hours over 3 days per week and will include weekend working on a rota basis.
