Job Description
Potomac Conservancy seeks an experienced Project Management and Strategic Planning Software expert for a temporary contract to identify, implement, and train staff on a planning and project management platform. The ideal candidate will have proven experience customizing project managements systems that supports long and short-term strategic planning and can reflect an Objective and Key Result style of strategic planning.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Meet with heads of all departments to determine departmental needs for project and strategic planning management system.
- Identify platform options that consider project management and planning style of the organization, ease of use, and maintenance costs
- Based on organization’s choice of platform, coordinate with platform on purchase and set up, including migrating existing planning and project management information (currently collected in Microsoft Office platforms).
- Develop S.O.P. for the organization in the use and maintenance of the platform
- Train staff of use of developed system before April/May Annual planning process
- Evaluate and troubleshoot system after first use by staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience developing project and strategic planning systems for small to midsized nonprofit organizations.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience training staff to use planning systems.
Additional Information
This is a temporary, project-based, contract position and will report to the project manager who is our Vice President of Programs and Operations. The deadline for application is March 1, 2023 with priority consideration for applications received before February 22nd with a start date no later than March 15th.
