We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist within the Medical Therapy team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.
We are a large, dynamic and integrated team of qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, Therapy Associate Practitioners and Therapy Technicians, led by a Team Lead Physiotherapist alongside a Specialist Occupational Therapist. We foster a fun, friendly and supportive working environment.
We work in a fast paced department across a varied caseload on Medically optimised and Acute medical wards (Respiratory, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine). The role will provide you with an opportunity to develop both your clinical and leadership skills within different clinical specialities, managing a complex caseload and supporting junior staff and to enhance your skills in supervision of Band 5’s, therapy technicians and students, appraisal, education and service development projects.
Alongside the clinical role of assessment, treatment implementation, discharge planning and onward referrals, we will provide you with opportunities to develop the service and evaluate practice with an aim of delivering the highest quality of therapy service to our patients with a home first approach.
You will be supported by highly skilled clinical specialist staff, receive regular supervision from a named supervisor and will participate in regular therapy in service training as well as having access to external courses. We will support you to progress your career and key management skills.

Qualifications
- Health Care Professions Council Registration
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, or equivalent
