An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic and innovative individual to join our friendly and motivated Tissue Viability team.

If you are committed to improving outcomes for patients and reducing the risk of harm then this post is your chance to work in a great team and make a real difference for our patients and the care they receive. This band 6 Tissue Viability nurse role involves working closely with front line clinical teams, providing hands on wound care support in a wide variety of areas. This includes clinical assessment and intervention, complex wound management with specialist dressings and wound treatments. Regularly delivering education regarding Tissue Viability topics including pressure ulcer prevention and management, and working alongside the Multi-Disciplinary team to ensure cohesive working for optimum patient care.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Registered General Nurse.
  • First Degree in a clinically relevant subject or working towards.
  • Relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience within the Tissue Viability remit (evidence supporting this)
  • A minimum of 3 years post registration experience.
  • Recent clinical Nursing experience within an acute setting within the last 2 years.
  • Skills and Knowledge and clinical expertise within the speciality
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
  • Effective leadership and team building skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Critical appraisal and problem solving skills.
  • Research awareness and evidence of application of research into practice.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
