We are excited to announce that we have a 1 year fixed term opportunity to cover a maternity leave here in our SLT department. We are looking for applicants with a positive attitude to team working, creativity, integration and innovation. Due to the flexibility within our service, the relevant skills and experience of the applicant would open up the opportunity of where this post would be based in the acute trust. Experience within ENT/Head and Neck would be desirable but not essential.
Alongside senior support, we can offer, in house management and leadership training and with a growing practice educator workforce, support in your clinical development. We pride ourselves on our flexible working policies and would welcome applications for full or part time workers.

Qualifications
- Registered member RCSLT
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
- HCPC Registration
- Post graduate RCSLT accredited dysphagia course or equivalent to Level C
- Evidence of working in the acute sector
Experience
- Minimum of 18 months Band 5 experience including a broad range of adult/acute communication and swallowing impairments/disorders
- Experience of working in a changing environment
- Evidence of integrated working in multi-disciplinary teams
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrates good analytical and reflection skills
- Sensitivity to a broad range of patients
- Supportive interpersonal skills – including observation, listening and empathy skills
- Proven skills in prioritising and being flexible and adaptable to meet competing priorities
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Relevant post-graduate training in areas relevant to caseload
- IT skills
