Calling all Administrators!

Our Team is expanding and we are recruiting for a fantastic opportunity here within our Imaging Admin Team at Portsmouth Hospital University NHS Trust.

You will be able to utilise your great administrative duties in this busy role based on site. You will possess excellent attention to detail to ensure safe administration of Diagnostic Imaging Administration functions. The duties will also involve dealing with enquiries from Patients, Doctors, managers and other staff groups. It will be important that you are keen to demonstrate your customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work within a team to support the smooth running of the PHT Diagnostic Imaging administration functions
  • To identify and highlight opportunities for improved working processes
  • To ensure appropriate booking of clinic lists
  • To provide a high standard of service for patients
  • Enter and update patient information on PAS and RIS as required
  • Contact patients by letter or telephone to arrange appointment

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE Standard or equivalent (Including English Language and Maths)

Desirable

  • CIPD level 3 (desirable)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong administration skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently and under pressure
  • Organising complex working situations
  • Ability to be creative and use initiative.
  • Well-developed influencing skills across hierarchies and disciplines
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills, working with packages such as Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working with a computerised personnel system, preferably ESR & NHS Jobs
  • An effective communicator both orally and written

Experience

  • Experience of working in a busy and challenging environment or equivalent applied learning (essential).
  • Experience of working in a healthcare office environment (desirable).
  • Knowledge of PAS, PMI, OPD, Pathology, Radiology (training will be provided) (desirable).
