Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local market, software products, and sales strategies. They will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients and managing existing accounts. This role is critical for establishing and/or maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring customer satisfaction through appropriate delivery of tailored software solutions.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities through lead generation, prospecting, and cold calling
- Understand client needs and present appropriate software solutions (e.g., SaaS, ERP, CRM)
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements to maximize profits
- Handle client inquiries, feedback, and issues effectively
- Provide regular follow-up with existing customers to grow existing business scopes.
Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers, competitors, and market trends in Bangladesh’s Software/Technology industry.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics tailored to the appropriate market.
- Assist in pricing strategy based on market demand and competition.
Team Leadership (if managerial role):
- Lead and mentor teammates to achieve individual and team sales goals
- Coordinate sales activities with marketing and product development teams to enhance brand presence and customer engagement.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to the management
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to optimize sales outcomes.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Willingness to travel within Bangladesh for client management
- Proficiency in English and Bengali (spoken and written)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field. (MBA preferred for managerial roles)
- Proven experience in B2B software sales, business development, or lead generation in the technology sector
- Familiarity with software solutions, cloud technologies, or IT services in Bangladesh
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving targets
Good to Have:
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, Zoho, Oddo, SAP or similar tools)
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and basic technical concepts
- Network of contacts within the Bangladesh and/or International tech industry.
- Understanding of local tax policies and procurement processes
