Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- Research, Identify, and qualify new accounts
- Maintain files and records pertinent to sales leads and coordinate follow up activities
- Conduct outgoing calls & in person meetings with new and existing prospects
- Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Create and maintain strategic partnerships with contractors and distributors
- Create and present proposal presentations and RFP responses
- Develop and implement tactics to meet competitive situations
- Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products
- Work cooperatively with all internal departments in developing effective marketing initiatives
- Tracking activities, contacts, and opportunities in CRM
- Accurately forecasting opportunities
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience working with municipalities and/or State and Federal government
- Experience and/or existing relationships working with regional contractors
- Familiarity with the LED industry, construction, and/or lighting industry
- Experience selling into warehouses and/or construction project bidding
- Familiarity with rebates associated with LED energy savings programs
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven track record of success
- Self-motivated
- Ability to thrive in a highly competitive marketplace
- Must be professional, enthusiastic, and highly proactive
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- Equivalent work experience considered
- Minimum 5 years of Sales Experience, B2B
