Job Description

We are looking for a Benefits & Compensation Specialist that will play an integral role in the support, design, and delivery of Points’ Global benefits and compensation programs. You will be responsible for the analytics and administration of our compensation, benefits and perk programs.Your passion, attention to detail, proactive approach and ability to prioritize will also be essential to your success as you play an integral role on behalf of our company to provide outstanding Benefits & Comp support to our Points employees 

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Benefits

  • Administer group insurance benefits program in  5 global regions (Canada, US, UK, Singapore, Dubia)  including:
    • Maintenance of benefits programs including employee additions, terminations, billing approvals, etc.
    • Be the expert/go-to person for all employees regarding benefits questions or concerns
  • Audit/Reconcile benefit premium deductions, and investigate and resolve benefit premium discrepancies to the carrier and Payroll in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the review and collection of employee feedback about our plan design, and support annual employee renewal communication
  • Coordinate and track employee leaves of absence (Mat Leaves & Top Up, Pat Leaves, Family/ Compassionate Care, Leave of Absence, etc.).
  • Assist with international relocations and mobility support.
  • Oversee and participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee; Set quarterly meetings, prepare agendas and ensure office inspection and action items are completed.
  • Support our global health and safety COVID protocols to ensure all Points offices are following local government recommendations.
  • Research and provide information regarding changes in relevant legislation and best in class practices/programs related to compensation and benefits. Recommend new and/or updated employee programs and manage implementation of program changes

Compensation

  • Support Points annual compensation programs ie. compensation market review, annual  salary review process, and bonus allocations.
  • Conduct analysis of both internal equity and external competitiveness to determine pay level and pay mix recommendations.
  • Manage & maintain job evaluation process for new & current roles.
  • Assist with making compensation recommendations for new hires and internal promotions.
  • Assist with the development, preparation and distribution of compensation communication materials.
  • Collect, organize and report data for participation in industry compensation surveys; recommend participation in additional surveys
  • Participate in the implementation of a new Global HRIS system. Perform routine audits & checks to ensure information in the HR System is entered accurately

Qualifications

  • Experience in Data analysis & Managing HR Systems
  • Expertise using Excel to analyze large data sets (i.e. basic formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Effective time management/prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships across the business.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Progressive Benefits & Comp experience. Knowledge of Canadian, US, EMEA & APAC benefit plans is a plus
