Pocket Points started as an idea at Chico State in Northern California. The problem of smartphone usage in the classroom was obvious so we decided to create a solution. We thought to ourselves...What would incentivize students to stay off their phones more than free food? By partnering with local businesses who were willing to offer discounts through the app, Pocket Points was born.
Ever since, Pocket Points has been expanding to additional schools as fast as possible to keep up with the demand of students, teachers, and businesses. Currently, Pocket Points is available at over 200 schools in the United States and Canada.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour

We are looking to bring a motivated individual to our team at Pocket Points. In this role, you’ll be learning the ins and outs of prospecting, cold-calling, and managing accounts. This position provides a great experience in sales and marketing that you can take with you in any career! On a day to day basis, you’ll be speaking with local businesses nationwide, talking marketing and coupon strategies, to seal the deal and get them live on our platform. The ideal applicant has an interest in sales and marketing and is eager and ready to learn the ropes!
Outbound cold call local businesses as well as franchise and corporate groups
Contact decision makers through email to set meetings
Prospect leads at college campuses nationwide through Google Maps and web search
Create portal accounts in our internal system with coupons and images for a business going live
Manage accounts and contacts in Salesforce CRM
Great oral and written communication skills
Knowledgeable in MAC and/or Google Chrome products
Understanding of marketing tactics and tools
Experience in a fast paced environment desired
Pursuing a sales certificate or marketing degree preferred but not required
Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service or sales position
Phone experience a plus
