Pocket Points started as an idea at Chico State in Northern California. The problem of smartphone usage in the classroom was obvious so we decided to create a solution. We thought to ourselves...What would incentivize students to stay off their phones more than free food? By partnering with local businesses who were willing to offer discounts through the app, Pocket Points was born. 

Ever since, Pocket Points has been expanding to additional schools as fast as possible to keep up with the demand of students, teachers, and businesses. Currently, Pocket Points is available at over 200 schools in the United States and Canada.

Job Description

We're looking for someone that's a self-starter, motivated and hungry to learn! This position offers class credit, looks great on a resume and we gain you access to Pocket Points employees through bi-weekly conference calls. Pocket Points is looking for people who LOVE the app and LOVE telling their friends about it! In this position, you'll be responsible for all marketing activities on your campus including but not limited to:

  • Class Talks
  • Social Media Posts
  • Tabling Events
  • Partnerships with Greek Life/ Student Organizations

Every week, there will be performance bonuses to win free Pocket Points swag, headphones, gift cards, and more! 

Qualifications

  • Must be a college student
  • Marketing majors a plus but not required
  • Experience with performance-based positions encouraged
