Pocket Points started as an idea at Chico State in Northern California. The problem of smartphone usage in the classroom was obvious so we decided to create a solution. We thought to ourselves...What would incentivize students to stay off their phones more than free food? By partnering with local businesses who were willing to offer discounts through the app, Pocket Points was born.
Ever since, Pocket Points has been expanding to additional schools as fast as possible to keep up with the demand of students, teachers, and businesses. Currently, Pocket Points is available at over 200 schools in the United States and Canada.

As a Customer Support Representative, you’ll be responding to our users and customers through various channels to ensure they have the best experience on our platform. We’re looking for an organized, motivated individual who knows the ins and outs of our product and who can handle multiple tasks that are on their plate. In this position, you’ll be working with multiple departments at Pocket Points headquarters to ensure all service tickets are handed off and responded to in a timely manner.
Provide technical, user and customer support via live chat, social media, and our company email
General office duties as needed
Forward service tickets to its respective departments
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of our product
Minimum of 1-2 years of customer support experience
Must be proficient in use of computer and software applications
Exceptional grammar and punctuation
Must be able to multitask while using different internal programs
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work full time (40+ hours) in Chico, CA
Ability to recognize patterns in customer behavior
Strong investigative and organizational skills
