Media Production Specialist

Pluralsight’s Media Production Specialist is responsible for the production and post-production work for various Content formats (ex: video and interactive courses), partnerships, internal training, and company wide initiatives. This individual is passionate about delivering high-quality and innovative content for a wide spectrum of projects and ideas. The Media Production Specialist is passionate about ensuring video quality, willingness to adapt to change, meet tight deadlines, and has a positive attitude around an ever-changing environment.

What you’ll own:
Responsible for Content and internal initiatives media production at Pluralsight, ensuring all audio-visual needs are met in regard to video recording, editing, and final delivery.
Ability to create various production requests such as demonstration videos, training content, course materials, etc.
Responsible for converting raw footage and other assets to deliver high-quality and engaging content.
Drive forward Pluralsight filming capabilities by exercising creativity, advocating for necessary tools and processes, and providing technical expertise.
Oversee quality control of media equipment, ensuring proper studio set-up, lighting, audio configuration, and equipment maintenance.
Coach and direct those on-screen to allow for optimum audio/visual quality and clarity in instruction.
Contribute to video creative direction and assist in creative brainstorms to best represent the Pluralsight brand.
Create original concepts and assets for animations to include brainstorming, scripting, storyboarding, illustration, sound design, and final editing.
Provide general technical support to team members related to audio/visual equipment.
Seek out opportunities to elevate Content and internal initiatives with video support.
Experience you’ll need:
At least five years of experience in a related field/role.
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software such as: Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, and Photoshop.
Thoroughly understands media production principles and techniques in the areas of studio, field, computer, and audio production and equipment.
Strong expertise in digital video editing; proficient in digital animation tools.
Mature decision-making skills that rely on experience, creativity, and research.
Can articulate ideas and paint a visual picture that creates team alignment around video concepts; brings team vision to life through media production, always focusing on the strategic intent of the deliverable.
Able to provide realistic work estimates, manage multiple deadlines, and set expectations when features and video attributes must be cut to meet a deadline.
Understands the importance of scheduling/deadlines with the ability to manage time effectively; develops necessary systems for continual communication and progress updates.
