- Boston, MA
Ever worked on a product where the requirements were dictated to you by stakeholders? Not at Pluralsight. We believe in Human Centered Design, autonomous teams, and the customer breaking the tie. Which means, you will be working on a cross-functional team with a Product Manager and a dev team who all share the same focus; learning from our customers and using that knowledge to decide what problems to solve and how to solve them. This is why we look for practitioners who are experienced, good at understanding people, and are driven by the love of what they do.
Our adaptive skills experience is the best way for people to discover and learn what’s most important to enable them to get back to their next project or land a new role. The experience leverages AI to assess and guide you to what you need to know next and how to best get there. The team is responsible for the discovery and delivery of how learners will improve their skill. We are looking for an experienced, results-oriented product designer to join our team in Boston to design a best-in-class, personalized learning experience.
You will develop a nuanced and deep understanding of learning theory, designing with data, UI design and user behavior throughout the platform. You will implement a process to learn from our users and define the information architecture, interaction design, and visual design of the skills experience.
Who you are:
You are focused on making progress every day
You ask detailed and specific questions, understand nuance, and challenge conventional wisdom
You are both a micro and a macro thinker - you understand the details and why they’re important and can zoom out and see the bigger picture and how the dots connect
You understand that what people say they want and what they actually want may differ
You are open to the best solution, regardless of its source
What you’ll own:
Planning, conducting and synthesizing user research along with the product manager
Collaborate with team to determine appropriate solution based on research
Creating concepts, wireframes, UI and visual design prototypes for testing, experimentation and development
Defining the information architecture, the interactions, and the visual design
Designing a data-driven, scalable learning experience that can change as quickly as tech does
Experience you’ll need:
5+ plus years of product design and for digital products
A strong understanding of user research and human-centered design
An analytical approach to testing new features
Strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to speak on a technical level and communicate clearly with developers and engineers
Strong interest in the learning, and in improving how consumers consume and interact with content
