Playtech‘s IT unit is looking for a proactive System Administrator with great problem-solving skills.

System Administrator will be responsible for our internal software applications. In this role, your duties will include resolving critical application incidents, working on software upgrade projects of existing applications as well as installing/commissioning new systems. A perfect candidate should demonstrate satisfactory experience in supporting commonly used applications in IT industry, having solid foundation of Microsoft Windows ecosystem and more.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will... 

  • Manage various enterprise applications ensuring their high availability
  • Manage Incidents, Requests and Changes as required and within SLA
  • Perform analyses on software application functionality and suggest improvements
  • Support day to day Incident/Request management for internal systems
  • Ensure security and efficiency of IT applications
  • Upgrade systems with new releases
  • Oversee installation and maintenance of software applications
  • Establish the root causes of application errors, and escalate serious concerns to direct manager
  • Keep a record of configuration changes and schedule application updates
  • Provide front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments
  • Document processes and monitor application performance metrics
  • Perform additional relevant tasks as assigned by the direct manager
  • Perform on-call duties

Qualifications

Components for success. You… 

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or have equivalent work experience
  • Are proficient with Microsoft-based applications (e.g., IIS/.NET, SharePoint Online)
  • Have a superior understanding of Active Directory, EntraID, and Windows operating systems
  • Have experience with virtualization on-prem and cloud (VMWare)
  • Have experience with Azure
  • Are skilled in scripting with PowerShell
  • Have general experience supporting HTTP-based applications
  • Have a good understanding of DNS, TCP/IP networking
  • Have experience with Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure ecosystem
  • Are resourceful and possess a problem-solving attitude
  • Can keep up with innovation in application design
  • Demonstrate independence, self-motivation, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high-quality standards
  • Can prioritize and manage your workload, respect deadlines, and take ownership of tasks
  • Can work under pressure and have exceptional communication skills
  • Are a team player, quick learner, and maintain high integrity while managing confidential information
