Playtech‘s GPAS unit is looking for a proactive Fullstack Developer with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Your influential mission. You will...

• Contribute to the full stack development and evolution of web applications using JavaScript technologies, including React, Redux, ES6+ on the front-end, and Node.js, Express, or similar on the back-end.
• Develop and maintain both client-facing and server-side applications, ensuring seamless integration and communication between front-end and back-end systems.
• Write high-quality, scalable code for web applications, focusing on excellent user experience, performance, and back-end efficiency.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including designing database architectures, creating RESTful APIs, and integrating third-party services, alongside front-end feature development.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications, optimizing for security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Help refine internal development processes, from requirements gathering, to design and implementation of both front-end and back-end components, all the way to production deployment and support.

Components for success. You...

• Have strong proven experience of building customer-facing Web Applications.
• Have a strong working knowledge of core web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
• Have a high-level knowledge of responsive web design, as well as JavaScript object model and DOM manipulation.
• Have high-level JavaScript knowledge — you are very familiar with the JS landscape of technologies and have in-depth knowledge and experience using it in tandem with client-side technologies to create fast, responsive applications (knowledge/experience in TypeScript will be a plus).
• Have solid knowledge and experience in the React technological stack.
• Have good understanding of NodeJS and its core principles.
• Have experience in developing REST API using JavaScript (ES6+) / TypeScript.
• Have a working knowledge of non-relational Data Stores (Mongo / Redis).
• Have a comfort working across the stack and understanding how all the pieces fit together (front-end, middleware, backend, etc.) and how they impact the performance of your application.
• Have a solid engineering mindset — you are passionate about solving problems with elegant but simple solutions. You are by nature a good problem solver with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Have excellent communication skills — you communicate enthusiastically, clearly, and concisely with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Have knowledge and experience of working within TDD / BDD processes.
• Have working knowledge of Git.
• Are familiar with BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS approaches is a plus.
• Have very strong attention to detail and ability to deliver visuals tightly matching specifications.

PLAYTECH'S GPAS UNIT
Gaming Platform as a Service aka GPAS is Playtech’s exclusive distributed games delivery platform that currently has more than 700+ games running on it.  GPAS is a highly accessible, multi-tenant, scalable, distributed and event-driven system written in Scala with the help of the Pekko framework.  We have a complex solution that provides capabilities to run a variety of different slot, and multiplayer games and our architecture supports an extension to support other types of games. We adopt Scrum methodology to deliver new features on time.
