Job Description

Playtech Gibraltar is looking for a Commercial Manager to join our successful and ever-growing Playtech - GamesLink team and the core responsibilities of this role is to maximize the financial performance of all licensees within agreed territories. This can be achieved through both strategic planning, effective customer account management, and implementation alongside ongoing tactical executions as well as providing commercial support to the team of Account Managers.

This position is responsible for increasing and managing the revenue from a portfolio of key account licensees on a day-to-day basis and supporting the overall business plans and this position will also be responsible for pursuing new sales opportunities and delivering new commercial contracts where necessary in the designated territories.

The main duties and responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to: -

Customer Strategy & PR

  • Initial contact point for all commercial matters with relevant licensee stakeholders in addition to the Account Manager
  • Main contact point for internal stakeholders ensuring executive members and senior colleagues is up to date regarding latest communication with the licensee
  • Escalation points to ensure effective day to day management of the licensee
  • Organising and chairing stakeholder meetings/QBR’s with licensee

Retention of Existing Licensees & Upselling new Products and Markets

  • Full understanding and effective management of licensee contracts and obligations of both parties
  • Support the Commercial Director of Operations on all contract negotiations. Includes managing internal legal as well as the licensee and implementing timely and appropriate commercial escalations.
  • Upselling new and additional products/markets to existing licensees
  • Increase existing licensee revenues across all markets in line with company strategy

Achievement of Revenue Budget

  • Support the Commercial Director of Operations in the formulation of annual revenue targets.
  • Regular and timely reviews of performance with actions implemented to improve revenues
  • Achievement of revenue budget and full understanding of the levers that influence/change revenue performance
  • Ensure effective, accurate and timely billing
  • Reforecasting and target setting

Product Expert

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the product range, especially the aspects that generate incremental customer revenues or queries
  • Full understanding of product/technology roadmaps, senior Licensee stakeholder communication
  • Understanding of competitor products and offerings including regular review and identification of opportunities and threats

Reliability / Operations

  • Full understanding of key operational KPIs for individual licensees
  • Escalation points for significant reliability issues
  • Responsible for licensee communication directly or via Account Manager during and post any ‘significant’ reliability issue

Territory knowledge

  • Understanding of territory commercial position and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory position and associated compliance rules.
  • Understanding and influence within territory via key influential publications and trade shows

Qualifications

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Proven commercial/procurement management experience operating on a strategic and day to day operational basis demonstrating strong leadership skills
  • Experience of working in the online casino/live casino gaming space of the online gaming industry with a strong reputation generated from a track record of delivery
  • Knowledge of online casino & live casino suppliers’ products and services
  • Proven experience working in a sales / commercial role with a strong ability to work at a day-to-day level through to operating at a strategic level.
  • Excellent communication and customer liaison skills.
  • Computer literacy ideally proficient using Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Existing knowledge of Playtech Casino & Live Casino products advantageous.
  • Analytical skills including strong proficiency in Excel
