Job Description

Reporting to Casino Product Manager we are looking for a superstar Casino Product Owner (CPO) to join our growing award-winning team! The main purpose of this role is to support the Casino Product Management (CPM) team in delivering the Casino Product Roadmap. This key role acts as the main point of communication between the CPM and the development teams, where the CPO will be responsible for aligning development priorities between new features and feature improvements, in line with the agreed priority from the CPM. The CPO will also be responsible for organising and minuting meetings with development teams and analysts and informing CPMs about any issues or delays to projects. We are looking for someone who can:

  • Backlog grooming: Ensure all tickets have full user stories that development teams and analysts can use to fulfil the requirements for:
    • New Features
    • Feature Changes
  • Ensure tickets are relevant for Product stream, and reassign to relevant streams if not
  • Convert customer feedback into actionable user stories and add to the backlog
  • Prioritise the backlog, ensuring development teams know what they are to focus on
  • Maintain Confluence page with current priorities for Architects
  • Facilitate delivery of Product Roadmap
  • Main link between CPMs and Development Teams
  • Gives feedback to CPMs on Casino Product Roadmap
  • Facilitate meetings, including:
    • Short Kanban: Weekly meeting to discuss Iron Projects
    • Long Kanban: Monthly reviewing all items in Analysis to Development
    • Jackpots: Fortnightly to assign priority to work needed for Jackpots
    • APAC: Weekly catch up with tasks for APAC region
    • System Demo: Fortnightly to review progress from Development Teams
  • Coordinate QBR requests from Account Managers to relevant people within the Casino Team
  • Initiate Casino Retrospectives on all delivered Iron Projects, feeding back on issues and recommendations for improved ways of working
  • Requesting Project Management Resource for items that require alignment across multiple teams
  • Present Competitor Analysis – Bring to the casino team insights seen in other products, not necessarily gaming related
  • Personal Development
    • Development of Casino knowledge
    • Champion Innovation

Qualifications

Experience

Essential

  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities with competing timelines
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience in working with teams using Scrum or Kanban, or similar tools
  • Familiar with gaming industry

Desirable

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner or Certified Scrum Master qualification
  • Project management experience
  • Proven experience driving product and business decisions
  • Familiar with Agile/Lean product development practices
  • A good knowledge and understanding of Casino
