Job Title: Loan Officer

Grade: Entry-Level & Experienced Professionals

Job Summary

We are seeking results-driven Entry-Level and Experienced Loan Officers to assess loan applications, evaluate borrowers’ creditworthiness, and manage the lending process from application to disbursement and repayment. The ideal candidates should have strong analytical, communication, customer service, and relationship-management skills, with a good understanding of lending and credit-risk principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and engage prospective borrowers and provide guidance on suitable loan products.
• Receive, review, and verify loan applications, supporting documents, and customer information.
• Assess applicants’ creditworthiness, income, repayment capacity, and overall risk.
• Conduct credit checks, background verification, and other required due diligence.
• Prepare clear credit assessments and recommendations for approval or decline.
• Ensure loans are processed and disbursed accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Monitor loan repayments, identify delinquent accounts, and support collections where required.

• Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in lending, credit analysis, sales, or loan recovery is an advantage; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of credit assessment, loan processes, and risk management.
• Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good record-keeping skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a target-driven environment.
