We are currently onboarding and analyzing a massive amount of new products onto our data platform, and this requires ongoing data capture by our field teams across the United States. To support these efforts, we’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team as we continue to scale our product database and our related data capture systems/teams. As an Operations Associate, you’ll be a core project manager of our field teams, you’ll help oversee the development, testing, and refinement of our data capture technologies, and you’ll help ensure all product data comes into our system with an exceptional and consistent quality.

Job Description

  • You’ll manage our data capture field teams, including the ongoing hiring, training and coordination of these teams

  • You’ll work on-site with our industry partners to collect data via our digitization tools

  • You’ll monitor and identify data capture challenges and discrepancies as they emerge

  • You’ll be the project manager of our core digitization technologies, a suite of tools that allow us to capture, process, and deliver high-quality data

  • You’ll create scalable training materials and you’ll lead the training of our field teams to ensure best-in-class product capture

  • You’ll do R&D and create standards on the best way to photograph and digitize different types of products

  • You’ll oversee our photography processes and ensure that all products are photographed in line with our standards

  • You’ll work with our engineering and product teams to envision new ways of collecting product data, and will oversee the implementation of these data collection systems

  • You’ll manage our on-the-ground product capture calendar and will work with our industry partners to coordinate in-store capture periods 

  • You’ll collect and distill partner feedback to continually refine and improve our on-the-ground data capture operations

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a Project Management, Operations, Photography, Grocery, Food or Nutrition-focused organization

  • Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy

  • Polished training/presentation skills and a strong ability and desire to teach our on-the-ground field teams

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and be flexible in your work

  • Some photography background/experience is strongly preferred

  • Some travel is required

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Based in NYC, or able to relocate to NYC

Bonus points for

  • Photography skills or a demonstrated interest

  • Experience with or interest in Tableau or other data technologies

  • Background in the grocery retail or CPG (Consumer Product) industry
