PPS customer is a growing battery company. 

·       Design, develop, test, and analysis of key high voltage, automotive-grade battery systems product components (thermal, electrical and mechanical devices) and systems comprised of combinations of these components.

·       Create development plans, conduct Designs of Experiments (DOEs), develop prototypes, create and execute test plans, and participate in production sourcing activities.

·       Develop components and systems to meet product requirements (based on regulations, customer requirements, and internal requirements).

·       Create component specifications (thermal, material, structural, electrical, etc.) to ensure products meet requirements.

·       Participate in creation of component and system DFMEA/PFMEAs.

·       Evaluate supplier information, specifications, and validation data to ensure selection of the proper suppliers.

·       Be a Key Contributor to mechanical, thermal, and electrical DVP&Rs for integration into or support of our overall system DVP&Rs.

·       Support all prototype system builds ensuring parts are on time.

·       Troubleshoot any issues with battery systems in prototype, validation, or production.

·       Work closely with the design, prototype engineering, production engineering, and manufacturing teams, as well as key suppliers and the validation/testing teams.

Education: Bachelor – Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.

Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Product Engineer, or in a related testing/validation engineering role:

1. Battery product design and development

2. Thermal management of battery systems

3. Develop functional test requirements for battery components

4. Create and oversee DVP&R test plans

5. DFMEA/PFMEA
