Job Description

Direct Hire Role

Lead the development of process and equipment planning activities required to support customer projects and meet company business plan objectives

Responsibilities and Duties (*denotes essential functions as defined by ADA)

  • Support the production operator
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Adhere to corporate, federal, and state employment policies
  • Adhere to all company policies
  • Lead the manufacturing evaluation of new product concepts (DFA), creation of manufacturing plans, and estimations of production costs
  • Responsible for Equipment & Tooling Readiness/Documentation and all safety standards
  • Qualify purchased Cap-Ex equipment in accordance with company MAP requirements (i.e. capability, OEE, (i.e. capability, OEE, ergonomics, etc.)
  • Lead start of production CIP activities necessary to meet product quality and business plan objectives
  • Develop and maintain all production documentation required including DFA’s, PFD’s, PFMEA’s, WI’s, etc.
  • Implement 5S activities for all production areas
  • Support all TS-16949 and ISO14001 standards and activities
  • Develop other junior engineers and employees to improve their abilities and skills
  • Support company vision, values, goals, and business plan
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow and make recommendations for improvement as necessary to documented company Best Practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Working knowledge of PLC, HMI’s, relays, contactors, servos, steppers, low voltage circuits, high voltage circuits, torque drivers, bar code systems, data base storage, vision systems, etc.
  • Allen Bradley, Siemens, Bosch Rexroth, OpCon, Cognex
  • Experience with quality management systems
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Working Experience with machine electrical cabinet layout and machine controls
  • Team player
  • TS 16949 and ISO 14001Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Rockwell, Siemens, OpCon, AutoCAD
