Job Description

  1. Support prototype operators & development engineers to create and run processes for product launch
  2. Design equipment, tools, and data traceability for semi-automated assembly lines and manual assembly and test stations.
  3. Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  4. Adhere to corporate, federal, and state employment policies
  5. Adhere to all company policies
  6. Lead the manufacturing evaluation of new product concepts (DFA), creation of manufacturing plans, and estimations of production costs
  7. Responsible for Equipment & Tooling Readiness/Documentation and all safety standards
  8. Qualify purchased Cap-Ex equipment in accordance with company MAP requirements (i.e. capability, OEE, (i.e. capability, OEE, ergonomics, etc.)
  9. Lead prototype and start of production CIP activities necessary to meet product quality and business plan objectives
  10. Develop and maintain all documentation required including DFA’s, PFD’s, PFMEA’s, WI’s, etc.
  11. Implement 5S activities for all production areas
  12. Support all ISO standards and activities
  13. Develop other junior engineers and employees to improve their abilities and skills
  14. Support company vision, values, goals, and business plan
  15. Perform other duties as assigned
  16. Follow and make recommendations for improvement as necessary to documented company Best Practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Working knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley preferred), HMI’s, relays, contractors, servos, steppers, low voltage circuits, high voltage circuits, torque drivers, bar code systems, data base storage, vision systems, etc…
  • Experience with quality management systems
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Working Experience with machine electrical cabinet layout and machine controls
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Solidworks
