Job Description
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented computer science student with a passion for ensuring system reliability? Pilot Company is seeking an Infrastructure Support Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to our operational excellence by helping deliver and maintain essential technology solutions, including Microsoft applications, Copilot, device imaging and patching, and the systems and processes that enable IT resources across the organization.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the Infrastructure Support team. Your work will contribute to the daily operations of Frontline IT Services by supporting enterprise technology platforms, enhancing end-user experiences, and helping maintain the infrastructure and processes behind Microsoft applications, Copilot, device management, and IT service delivery.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities may include:
Support Server Operations: Assist with monitoring and supporting enterprise server environments to help ensure systems remain reliable, available, and performing effectively for business users.
Leverage Microsoft Intune: Support device management initiatives through Microsoft Intune by helping maintain secure, compliant, and well-managed end-user devices across the organization.
Enhance End-User Technology Experiences: Partner with the Frontline IT Services team to support technology solutions that improve productivity, security, and the overall user experience
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Education: A student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Rising seniors and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of server infrastructure, including Microsoft server environments, cloud technologies, and AWS. Familiarity with enterprise IT systems, device management, or infrastructure support is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong customer-service mindset with a genuine commitment to delivering a positive end-user experience. Demonstrated sense of urgency, effective problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills. Ability to collaborate with team members, build relationships with stakeholders, and respond thoughtfully in a fast-paced support environment.
