Job Description

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to conduct blending operations and perform equipment maintenance and repairs at the Memphis DEF Blending Plant. This role also includes responsibilities to support DEF Laboratory operations in partnership with the Quality Manager (Chemist), as well as oversee warehouse shipping and receiving activities. 

Essential Job Functions

1) Responsible for daily DEF blending process of unloading liquid urea from railcars, using our automated blending control. Troubleshoot and repair process equipment within the plant, document blending data and release railcars.
2) Maintain inventory of replacement parts for the Memphis plant, and other plants within our network.
3) Collaborate daily with the DEF Rail Movements Specialist to schedule rail car deliveries of DEF concentrate to plant(s).
Recommend improvements for DEF plant operations and assist in implementing any operational changes at direction of
manager. Travel to other DEF sites to conduct blending operations as needed
4) Receive DEF samples into the lab, via FEDEX each day and prep for lab analysis. Perform all shipping and receiving, supporting all plants with lab supplies. Manage inventory of DEF sampling supplies.
5) Using data provided by the Quality Manager, log onto blend computers and adjust for blend concentration without supervision.
6) Coordinate with other Blend Techs to train and troubleshoot data entry problems with the DEF Laboratory Information System (LIMS).

Qualifications

Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required:
At least 3 Years' Experience
