Job Description
Pay Rates Starting between: $56,235.00 - 74,520.00 / year
The purpose of this job is to assist with the daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly operations of the accounting team. Maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that include analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares monthly journal entries and support for assigned accounts across all entities
- Ensures the accuracy of entries and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
- Provides support for our Manager, Accounting for our commercial division
- Manages prepaid accounts and monthly entries for all entities
- Manage all intercompany accounts to ensure they are in balance at each month-end.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provides schedules as support for all audits as needed
- Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 2+Years of Accounting or Finance experience
- Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong written, verbal, and overall strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the company standards of professionalism
- This position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
