Job Description

An adjuster II must be prepared to work all types of claims as received by the liability team. The adjuster II will predominantly handle claims with bodily injury or claims where an auto liability event has occurred. The adjuster will also examine and investigate subrogation claims from time to time. Claims must be investigated thoroughly and the claims adjuster II will be responsible for pursuing resolution fo claims, where appropriate.

In this role you will: 

  1. Examine and investigate claims as assigned, working toward claim resolution where appropriate 
  2. Maintain an efficient diary of pending claims with an emphasis on continuous improvement of individual claim closure rate
  3. Handle claims efficiently with guidance, as needed, from management or senior adjuster
  4. Provide feedback, guidance and support to adjuster I's as needed
  5. Perform other required duties based on the needs of the team

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience required 
  • Must have specialized knowledge of the claims handling process
  • Knowledge of how to examine, investigate, and resolve claims of all types including those that may have attorney representation.
  • Ability to develop cross functional skills and understand the corporate structure of the company.
