Job Description

The purpose of this job is to, under limited supervision, review and file federal, state and local income tax returns with a focus on flow-through taxation.

In this role you will: 

  1. Review federal, state and local income tax returns with a focus on flow- through taxation (i.e., S Corporations, Partnerships)
  2. Prepare responses to notices and audit information requests from various federal, state and local authorities
  3. Supervise and train entry-level staff
  4. Assist accounting department with tax account reconciliations
  5. Act as the lead on other accounting projects
  6. Research and analyze technical tax issues

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
    • Master’s degree in accounting or taxation preferred
    • Minimum three year’s experience in public accounting or corporate/ public accounting preferred
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuit of CPA preferred
    • Partnership multi-state, multi-entity experience preferred

    Specialized Knowledge

    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
    • Tax research
    • Accounting and tax software skills
