Job Description

Are you a proactive and resourceful student with a passion for data analysis and problem-solving in a fast-paced business environment? Pilot Company is seeking a Supply and Distribution Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2026. This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to our team's operational efficiency by helping us measure our performance against contractual obligations and the financial performance of our agreements. 

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Supply and Distribution team. Your work will involve analyzing data and researching problems. This is an ideal position for someone with a business focus and technical acumen, who is ready to take initiative and quickly capitalize on opportunities or mitigate risks. 

What You’ll Do 

Your responsibilities may include: 

  • Measure performance: Ensure we have a record of our contractual obligations so we can measure our performance and the financial performance of our agreements. 
  • Support strategic initiatives: Help our senior team members focus on larger, more difficult problems and opportunities by handling essential tasks. 
  • Analyze data and research problems: Use your analytical skills and business acumen to analyze data and research problems, providing valuable insights to the team. 
  • Be resourceful and proactive: Supplement the team's bandwidth when speed and agility are required to take advantage of an opportunity or mitigate a risk. 
  • Collaborate and communicate: Work with team members and use your effective communication skills to collaborate and present findings. 

Qualifications

  • Education: A rising senior or current senior, but we are also open to juniors. We're looking for someone with coursework in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Information Intelligence, or Business Analytics. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, is essential. Experience with SQL and Tableau is a plus. 
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. We're looking for someone who is proactive, resourceful, takes initiative, and has a strong business focus with technical acumen. 
  • Experience: Any extracurricular activities or prior employment experience is a plus, particularly with a supply chain organization. 
  • Qualities: We value individuals who are driven, reliable, authentic, and welcoming. 

Additional Information

This is a full-time, in-person internship, running from June 1-August 6, 2026. You’ll be working alongside our team in our North Peters office in Knoxville, where you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and experience the full scope of life at Pilot Company.
