Job Description

The purpose of this job is to lead and optimize Pilot procurement functions including the development and execution of procurement strategies that drive cost savings, supplier performance, and innovation while ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. The Senior Director will manage and develop a high-performing team, work cross-functionally with other departments, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on procurement matters.

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the company’s business goals, ensuring that sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management practices are efficient, cost-effective, and scalable.
  2. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing procurement team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability and build a strong team capable of executing complex procurement projects.
  3. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to drive innovation, improve service delivery, and manage risk. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards.
  4. Cost Optimization: Identify and execute opportunities for cost savings across the procurement function, focusing on reducing total cost of ownership, enhancing supplier negotiations, and implementing value-engineering initiatives.
  5. Risk Management and Compliance: Develop and enforce policies to mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Oversee risk management strategies related to supply chain disruptions, quality assurance, and sustainability initiatives.  Establish, regulate, revise and document organizational procurement policies, procedures, and workflows.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders in construction, merchandising, operations, legal, and other departments to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives. Provide expert input on vendor selection, contract negotiations, and operational efficiencies.
  7. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics and performance metrics to assess procurement activities and identify areas for improvement. Regularly report procurement performance, cost savings, and key achievements to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  8. Innovation: Drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies that improve procurement effectiveness
  9. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large teams and complex sourcing initiatives.
    • Demonstrated success in leading procurement strategies and driving significant cost reductions and operational improvements.
    • Experience in managing large-scale supplier contracts, negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
    • Deep understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and risk mitigation strategies.
