Job Description

Summary

The purpose of this job is to support the Pilot Company's Energy Trading, Marketing and Logistics platform within the Credit and Trade Finance department to include ongoing project management, research and analysis, counterpart onboarding, system administration, coordination on daily credit and collateral process management and performance of trade surveillance and credit limit guidance.

Essential Functions

  1. Complete credit scoring, analysis, and reviews in support of the credit limit approval process and in line with the credit policy.
  2. Maintain the credit and collateral system of record including counterpart information, contacts and onboarding documentation, credit ratings, parent guarantees, letters of credit, family hierarchies, and trade credit insurance.
  3. Work with the Manager, Commercial Credit and Trade Finance, to build, maintain and improve credit scoring models and review templates.
  4. Build reporting layouts within the credit system to manage daily credit tasks and support periodic commercial and senior management reporting.
  5. Manage daily trade reports and distribute approved trading list to desk or business line commercial & cross functional teams.
  6. Support the Compliance team on all know your customer (“KYC”) requirements.
  7. Onboard all external legal trading entities including counterparts in compliance with the current onboarding policies and procedures.
  8. Support the Manager, Commercial Credit and Trade Finance, on strategic initiatives including trade credit insurance, Moody’s Analytics, systems initiatives and transformations, and other projects as needed.
  9. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
  10. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in finance, business economics, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of  1 year credit or relevant work experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required; advanced skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of energy-trading, marketing, supply, and services credit risk management and research.
  • Knowledge of trade financing structures common within the energy-trading, marketing, supply, and services industry.

Travel

Travel required less than 10%.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time.
  • Available to work evenings or odd hours to support commercial growth and transaction credit analysis and reviews on as needed basis.
