Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead our laboratory team in ensuring the highest standards for our feed manufacturing. You will champion laboratory safety, oversee analytical testing, and drive continuous improvement to achieve zero complaints, regulatory compliance, and operational cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory Management: Oversee lab quality management systems, ensuring strict compliance with 5S, GLP, ISMS, ISO standards, and the Philippine Chemistry Law (RA 10657).
Testing & Validation: Ensure all chemical evaluations and lab methods are reliable, validated, and accurately logged using systems like SAP S/4HANA.
Safety & Compliance: Monitor the chemical hygiene plan, manage laboratory resources and equipment, and ensure a safe, organized, and compliant working environment.
People Leadership: Guide, motivate, and develop a team of Laboratory Analysts/Specialists, managing periodic performance evaluations and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, Nutritionists, and SHE teams to resolve non-conformances and drive quality initiatives.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, or a related 4-year science course.
License: Must be a Registered Chemist.
Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory management.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration and regulatory audits. Experience using SAP S/4HANA or previous ERP implementation is highly preferred.
Work Style: A strong leader comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment, willing to work in a dynamic plant setting with occasional exposure to physical elements.
Additional Information
The role involves daily exposure to elements such as dust, fumes, and noise, as well as physical risks around mechanical and chemical hazards. It requires physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking around the office and plant.
