Job Description
The FG Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the finished goods warehouse and loading bay, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of finished products. This role ensures the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, compliance with quality and safety standards, and smooth coordination with production, logistics, and sales teams.
Additionally, this role manages subcontracted service providers, overseeing communication, performance monitoring, and billing validation. The supervisor also leads the warehouse team, monitors workforce performance, and identifies opportunities for operational improvements.
Warehouse Operations Management
Supervise daily operations in the finished goods warehouse, including receiving, storage, and preparation of products for dispatch
Ensure accurate inventory management, maintaining alignment with SAP records through cycle counts and physical inventory audits
Oversee loading operations, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules and accurate documentation of outbound shipments
Implement and enforce the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for product dispatch
Ensure proper handling and storage of finished goods to maintain quality and prevent damage
Management of Subcontracted Service Providers
Coordinate with subcontracted service providers, including loaders and transport services, to ensure smooth operations and compliance with agreements
Monitor the performance of subcontractors, addressing issues or concerns promptly to maintain service quality
Validate subcontractor billings by cross-checking against service contracts, actual performance, and supporting documentation
Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment with operational requirements
Team Leadership and Workforce Management
Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including loaders, pickers, and forklift operators, ensuring proper task assignments and efficient operations
Monitor workforce performance, address performance issues, and provide training or coaching as necessary
Coordinate staffing levels and schedules to meet daily dispatch volumes and operational demands
Promote a safe and positive working environment, adhering to company policies and safety protocols
Dispatch and Customer Order Fulfillment
Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to prioritize and schedule customer orders for dispatch
Ensure the accurate preparation of products for dispatch, including proper labeling, documentation, and quality checks
Work with transport providers to coordinate timely loading and delivery of outbound shipments
Address and resolve any delays or discrepancies in the dispatch process to meet customer requirements
Compliance and Continuous Improvement
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines, including HACCP, ISO, GMP, and GWP practices
Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and loading bays to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance warehouse operations and loading efficiency
Participate in safety initiatives, audits, and 5S activities to maintain a high standard of operational excellence
Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Team Leader
Qualifications
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations
Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory and dispatch management
Knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis
Familiarity with warehousing and dispatch best practices, FEFO/FIFO principles, and compliance standards (HACCP, GMP, GWP,ISO)
