Job Description

  1. Provides assistance to QSP Supervisor in ensuring that the Pilmico Food Group guidelines & policies for systems and processes as well as External Interested Parties (e.g. customer and legal requirements) are implemented and up to date.
  2. Works with the departments on their analysis and compliance to the established systems and processes, ensuring that overall performance is reported, recorded and monitored.
  3. Gives assistance to QSP Supervisor in maintaining that objectives of established systems and processes are aligned to the Context & Strategic direction of the organization through regular monitoring and verification.
  4. Collaborates with different departments in the review, implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management Systems, as applicable.
  5. Monitors if the resources needed for the sustained & effective operation of the established food safety and quality systems & processes are provided and made available.
  6. Engages and Supports stakeholders to contribute to the effectiveness of the Food Safety and quality systems and processes.
  7. Supports Team Leader in promoting improvements of the established Food Safety and Quality systems and processes to other teams.
  8. Performs process, food safety and quality audits for various business processes.
  9. Ensures that departmental issues regarding Food Safety systems and processes are resolved effectively and without undue delays. Page 1 of 5
  10. Conducts training on food safety and quality systems & processes to all relevant stakeholders.
  11. Supports Corporate Quality plans on suppliers’ and service providers’ audits.
  12. Coordinates with Team Leader to ensure that actual expenses of the department is within the approved annual budget.
  13. Participates and contributes to the department’s scheduled operational planning.
  14. Provides assistance to QSP Supervisor on the E-docs and i-Care Management.

FOOD SAFETY:

  1. Complies with Quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
  2. 2Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

OTHER TASKS:

  1. Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
  2. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or any Science and Technology course. Experience:
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in related work

CRITICAL SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Hard Skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety, Quality Management System and Halal Assurance System.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
