Job Description
The Supply Chain Data and Analytics Specialist supports stakeholders from different Supply Chain functions (Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics, Master Data) with S&OP data and reports to gain increased visibility of end-to-end operations to reshape and enhance business insights, analysis and decision-making capabilities.
He/She will be responsible for Supply Chain Optimization that includes the optimal placement of inventory within the supply chain, minimizing operating costs (including manufacturing costs, transportation costs, and distribution costs).
He/She will manage the data governance process to ensure clean source data and support analytics for utilization management, contracting/sourcing and distribution/logistics.
Supply Chain Data and Analytics Specialist
Generating regular and ad-hoc (requested by the business) reports of data from different systems used.
Creating and maintaining reporting platform containing KPIs for Supply Chain with appropriate data drill down to support root cause analysis and action planning.
Validation of data sets to assure high quality of reports provided to the teams
Maintain business system by following predefined process to ensure accuracy of information related to Parts & Suppliers.
Work with Line of Business counterparts in updating business systems and seek approval prior to submission.
Understand business systems as they affect data, reports and process
Clean-up, validate, review and compare BOMs as applicable.
Support the implementation of key supply chain KPI's / reports and initiatives.
Collect and analyze supply chain data. Recommends improvements to boost performance and reduce costs.
Perform technical analyses to forecast demand, understand customer preferences, simulate business outcomes, and optimize inventory investments.
Other Tasks
Attends required employee meetings.
Ensures compliance of food safety based on the standard requirement of 5S, HACCP/GMP & ISO.
Performs related work and other items that may be requested from time to time.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably from an accounting-related or Engineering course.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3 – 5 years experience in manufacturing, preferably in feed mill operation.
Experience in Supply Chain and understanding of end-to-end processes will be an asset.
