PILMICO ANIMAL NUTRITION CORPORATION, is a subsidiary of Pilmico Foods Corporation wholly owned by Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. We provide customers with high quality feeds for aqua, hogs, poultry as well as customized solutions for large farm accounts.

Since we started in 1998, we have grown and diversified to include swine and layer operations  in Tarlac.

Our swine and layer farms employ advanced production systems, with automated feeding and drinking systems. Climate control is achieved in the barns through tunnel ventilation and evaporative cooling system. Our swine genetic program and pullet source selection on the other hand, ensures that we only produce quality market hogs and layers. Strict biosecurity measures are also in place to protect the animals from bacterial and viral disease exposure.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY :

 Supply Chain Planner for Finished Goods is responsible for managing production planning, scheduling, and inventory utilizing the ERP system.  He/She will ensure achievement of production objectives in the manufacturing facility by coordinating the flow of finished goods, schedule and prioritize jobs to meet the customer’s needs.  

The Finished Goods Planner oversees the areas of Production and Inventory Control covering sales forecast execution. He/She will perform work operations within material standard operating procedures, policies and goals within production control and directly related operations involving planning and scheduling, expediting, inventory control, customer order filling and release, and company billing operations.  

He/She will analyze all phases of WIP (work-in-process) and make judgments regarding work force adjustments and follow-up action.  They will develop changes where production control and related policies and procedures are inadequate, and insure all required processes are documented and up to date and all assigned personnel are trained to the released procedures.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production Planning

  1. Ensure timely and accurate updating of MRP-relevant set-up in SAP.
  2. In charge of finished goods planning which covers production scheduling or procurement proposals considering the inventory both in production (WIP) and in the warehouse, shipping arrangements based on optimal freight costing, and customer support through timely report submission and product delivery. 
  3. Develops production/replenishment schedules based on actual and forecasted customer demands. Uploads and updates forecasts in the system. 
  4. Develops scheduling effectiveness metrics and reports regularly on plant scheduling performance, utilizing the metrics.
  5. Responsible for inputs into the Supply S&OP and Latest Estimate (LE) process ensuring its capability to deliver customer service and inventory requirements.
  6. Manages production plant backorder on a daily basis ensuring appropriate communication is provided to customer service and key stakeholders, as appropriate. 
  7. Responsible for checking the management of all inventories from work-in-progress, component, and finished goods in internal and external warehouses as a key factor for finished goods planning.
  8. Partners with strategic sourcing on all material cost reduction (COGS) initiatives and ensures appropriate plans are in place.
  9. Ensure the use of data and statistics to predict business results (predictive analysis).
  10. Ensure a safe operating environment for all areas of responsibility.

Collaboration & Teaming 

  1. Coordinates with a cross-functional team consisting of Manufacturing, Quality Control, Business Process, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure proper and common understanding of the deliverables, their background, and target completion date through the formulation of a realistic timetable that considers material availability, production capacity, process documents, and manufacturing support.
  2. Works closely with the supply chain to identify and implement best practices in the areas of finished goods planning, inventory management, and S&OP.
  3. Responsible for deploying new planning processes, tools, and systems.
  4. Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders to an actionable plan for addressing and improving Customer Experience.
  5. Build strong partnerships with IT to implement new and enhanced solutions to support.

Other Tasks

1.    Attends required employee meetings.

2.    Ensures compliance with food safety based on the standard requirement of 5S, HACCP/GMP & ISO.

3.    Performs related work and other items that may be requested from time to time.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably from an Engineering or Accounting related course.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Lean Manufacturing or a related field 
  • 3-5 years working in a variety of roles in a manufacturing organization, including experience in some or all of these areas: Operations. Supply Chain, Procurement Customer Service, and Commercial Sales.
  • Prior experience leading scheduling/planning transformation is strongly preferred.
  • Preferably with experience in SAP S/4 HANA MRP/PP and other related modules.
