Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Market Information Analyst gathers and collects sales, industry and market data; and maintains regular reports by updating and consolidating data from existing databases and platforms, ensuring the availability and accuracy of the data that will aid the Market Intelligence Supervisor and his/her stakeholders in synthesizing the information. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

SALES AND CATEGORY ANALYTICS AND REPORTING

  • Creates and updates comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market share, growth projections and sales trends or performance on a regular basis.

  • Responsible person for the development or creation of presentation materials based on internal sales data for the consumption of Feeds Sales Team. 

  • Analyses factors affecting the productivity of the Feeds Sales team and the regular rollout of the generated reports that could aid the supervisor and the managers in utilizing such information in support of the strategic planning.

 

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible person for the maintenance of updated records and databases to be used by the management and the different departments. Ensuring that the data is representative of the current sales, market scenario, and customer set-up by creating and maintaining a central data repository (sales, competitor prices, commodity prices, etc.) and ensuring their integrity and availability. 

  • Identify and collect appropriate customer, competitor, market, and financial and/or operational data and translate those data into effective market and intelligence reports.

  • Acts as system administrator who is responsible of the regular update of market intelligence and sales related platforms. 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

 

  • Acts as an aide for the Feeds Sales Team in ensuring the proper execution of PR requisitions of the whole department that will drive efficiency and especially the smooth flow of activities related to the needs of the projects involved. 

  • Facilitates and ensures the correctness of all price set-up request of the Feeds Sales Team, while maintaining their confidentiality. 

  • Coordinates with the responsible teams on ensuring proper and timely execution of each request.

  • Ensures the timely update and management of communication to other departments and the use of platforms and responds to inquiries within the scope of his/her responsibilities.

 

DEPARTMENTAL LIASON

  • As a support to his/her supervisor, he/she is responsible on maintaining relationships with key internal and external customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges.  

  • Attends and works closely with the different teams within the department to generate insights into and/ from the market, sales performance, customers and competitors, etc.


 

Other Tasks

 

  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.

Participation in all company programs such as ISO/ HACCP & GMP, ISMS, Branding, Partners in Leadership, 5S, BCM, etc.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

 

Graduate of any 4-year business course from a reputable institution.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  1. One (1) year experience in marketing or selling environment.

  2. Experience with data analysis. 

  3. Experience with systems and processes compliance.





 

CRITICAL SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

 

  1. Working knowledge on research analysis and tabulation.

  2. Working knowledge on delivering and creating powerful presentations. 

  3. Working knowledge on information and database management.

  4. Detail-oriented and good administrative skills, clerical, and record-keeping skills.

  5. Proficient skills using MS Office with strong experience using Microsoft Excel.

  6. Capacity to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment with a high level of flexibility and minimal supervision.
