Job Description
Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour + $100 per pay period bonus
Title: Laser Operator
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Purpose: Ultimately responsible for set up and operation of laser machines, production saw, and tumble blast machine.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and other quality documents
- Adjust machine settings per part specifications and troubleshoot machine setting issues
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures, gauges, and measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications
- Maintain tolerances determined by part specifications
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and maintain the area’s 5S standards
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
- Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
- Willingness to rotate through multiple manufacturing operations
- Ability to perform standard shop computations (math)
- Ability to read schematics (blue prints) and engineering drawings
- Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to follow administrative/procedural policies as well as work within a team environment
