Starting Hourly Base Rate: $18.00/hour 

Piece Rate Production Bonuses: Eligible Day 1

Shift Premium: 15% of base wage

Signing Bonus: Up to $1,250 in the span of 6 months! $500 at 2 weeks of employment, $250 at 90 days, and $500 at 6 months!

Profit Sharing Bonuses: Eligible after 6 months and a full quarter of employment distributed every quarter!

Referral Bonuses: We offer referral bonuses for both the employee and referring candidate! Up to $1,600 in the span of a year for each!

Job Description

Reports to:  Production Supervisor

Job Purpose:  Line Operator runs automated or single hit stamping presses, monitor equipment during production, ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards, and set-up plus changeover dies and material.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Set up, change, change over, and operate line according to production specifications.
  • Inspect equipment before starting and monitor equipment during production.  Confirm equipment is working properly by checking process parameters and indicators.
  • Perform quality checks according to the company’s procedures to verify die set up prior to production run.
  • Follows all standard work procedures for production, maintenance, and die management.
  • Maintain die racks in organized manner.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Report production quantities accurately and according to the company’s recording process.
  • Maintain production related documents and logs to ensure availability and accuracy.
  • Ensure appropriate equipment, tools, and material to perform job are on hand before starting task.
  • Follow standard work instructions and process control plans to ensure production of good parts.
  • Complete daily 6S check sheet at start and end of shift.
  • Review unplanned scrap with Supervisor to identify root cause and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Participate in “Quick and Easy Kaizen” program by actively providing suggestions and implementing product and process improvements.
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc to move raw material and parts as needed.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
  • Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform standard shop computations (math).
  • Ability to read schematics (blueprints) and engineering drawings.
  • Experience operating metal stamping presses preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
