Starting Hourly Base Rate: $20.00/hour

Shift Differential: Will receive more on the hourly rate if you're willing to work 2nd or 3rd Shift

Signing Bonus: Up to $1,250 in the span of 6 months! $500 at 2 weeks of employment, $250 at 90 days, and $500 at 6 months!

Profit Sharing Bonuses: Eligible after 6 months and a full quarter of employment distributed every quarter!

Referral Bonuses: We offer referral bonuses for both the employee and referring candidate! Up to $1,600 in the span of a year for each!

Job Description

Reports to:  Production Supervisor

Job Purpose:  Ultimately responsible for set ups and changeovers of metal stamping dies.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Set up and change over metal stamping dies per production schedule.
  • Set up specific part programs and parameters for metal stamping presses, feed lines, and dies using the company’s standard practices and procedures.
  • Perform quality checks according to the company’s procedures to verify die set up prior to production run.
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify the cause of errors, problems, and defects.
  • Make and maintain shims for blank and form dies.
  • Log labor detail according to the company’s recording process within the Manufacturing Execution System
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and daily, weekly, and monthly 6S duties.
  • Maintain die racks and mounting plates in organized manner.
  • Fix broken punches or sections of dies in the press or die shop.
  • Initiate work orders for dies going into triage rack or die shop for repairs.
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead crane, etc. to move dies and equipment as needed.
  • Follow schedule and changeover sequence to ensure on time delivery to customer and/or as instructed by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
  • Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience with standard shop measuring tools and hand tools required.
  • Exceptional attendance record required.
  • Experience operating metal stamping presses preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to perform standard shop computations (math).
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and standard work instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments as well as work within a team environment
