Job Description

Phoenix American Financial Services is looking to expand our sales team.  We are looking for a professional with strong market knowledge and a motivation for sales.  This individual will utilize their superior closing skills, sales planning and excellent prospecting skills to grow our client portfolio.

  • Closes new business in the following investment administration services:
    • Transfer agent services
    • Fund Accounting services
    • Tax services including 1099 and K-1 processing and filings
    • Distribution processing
    • Investor new business processing
    • Account Maintenance
    • Printing & investor communication services
    • Proxy services
    • Investor support
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential prospects; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing prospects overall fit, requirements and prospectus and financials
  • Deliver sales presentations, seminars and meetings with clients/prospects
  • Attend industry conferences and participate in panel discussions
  • Travel required



  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 7+ years financial sales experience 
  • Securities industry knowledge and expertise preferred, particularly with the investor relationship, operational side of non-exchange traded securities as follows:

o   Private Equity Funds

o   Venture Capital

o   Business Development Companies

o   Real Estate Syndication

o   Non-traded REITs

o   Regulation D Offerings

o   Fixed Income Funds

o   Commodity Pool Operators

o   Asset-backed Securities

o   Equipment Leasing Funds

o   Oil & Gas Funds  

  • In-depth understanding of the operational processes required to manage the investor, registered representative and trustee relationships helpful
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High energy, sales motivated individual with a commitment to excellence
  • Proficient in using Salesforce and MS Office
  • Strong working knowledge with the Investment Security Act of 1940 and Securities Exchange Act of 1934
