Job Description

We’re looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects in the financial services vertical. The Sales Representative identifies new sales leads, qualifies prospects and drives new business opportunities from beginning to end through the entire sales process including identifying and qualifying prospects, providing presentations and demos of the MARS system, and negotiating/closing  software licensing and services agreements with C-level executives.

The Sales Representative is responsible for understanding the MARS product offerings and value proposition, the asset management industry landscape, our competitive advantages and formulating solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application which address the prospects business needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience and track record with selling SAAS software, especially to C-level decision makers in the financial services vertical, specifically Mutual Fund firms;
  • Responsible for the full sales cycle including cold-calling for new leads, qualifying prospects, performing product demonstrations, contract negotiation and closing;
  • Ideal candidate has SAAS software sales experience and asset management industry experience;
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the MARS product suite and services to be able to communicate solid arguments to prospective customers as to why they should be using the product;
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations tailored to the prospective customer’s needs;
  • Strong product demonstration and presentation skills; must be able to demo the product suite and communicate the product features and business value to prospects; Proven track record in identifying and closing new business opportunities;
  • Ability to independently direct activities to meet sales goals;
  • Strong negotiating and closing skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effective
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Team player with high degree of enthusiasm for technology sales;
  • Supply management with information on prospects needs, interests, competitive information and potential opportunities for new products and services;
  • Conduct software demonstrations via WebEx or meetings;
  • Document activities in the MARS CRM tool and provide reports to management;
  • Keep abreast of asset management industry and technology trends
  • Asset Management industry experience, particularly some experience in operations would be ideal;
  • The position is located in the beautiful San Francisco bay area in our San Rafael office
  • Some travel required;
  • Salary, plus commission
