Job Description

 

Job Summary:

Lead periodic projects and several monthly processes, including client bank reconciliations. Responsible for preparation and review of general ledger entries, quarterly cost allocations, financial reports, and quarterly work papers of multiple entities. Report directly to Controller.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts to properly document business transactions, including foreign currency translation entries.

· Perform, review, and report on numerous high-volume, complex bank account reconciliations
· Analyze accrual accounts and make adjusting entries.
· Maintain depreciation, amortization and other accounting schedules as necessary.
· Analyze financial information detailing balance sheet and income statement accounts, and draft consolidation financial statements and footnotes, to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial positions.

· Preparation of financial statements and operational reports.
· Review and assist as needed with preparation of monthly billing to approximately 85 clients, daily recording of cash receipts, daily reporting of aging.

· Interact with internal departments, clients, and external service providers.

· Peer review of work performed by other accountants in the group for accuracy and completeness.

· Document and update process flows and procedures as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements:
· BS in Accounting plus minimum of 7 years experience in general ledger accounting positions

· Good working knowledge of GAAP.

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

· Prior experience with Oracle, SAP, or other enterprise accounting software preferred.

· Must have good communication and organizational skills.

· Must have excellent analytical skills and be detail-oriented.

· Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently.
